Associate Attorney
Charlotte, North Carolina

Family is one of the most important aspects of my life. Growing up in Wilmington, NC my family expanded to include the lifelong friendships that I developed. As I watched my friends and cousins struggle with the consequences of a divorce I knew how difficult this time of life could be. Throughout my childhood, I always knew my dream job would allow me to make a positive impact on others. It was not until later that I would realize that Family Law would be an avenue for me to provide comfort to families during such a trying time.

I graduated cum laude from Wake Forest University in 2015 with a major in History and a double minor in Environmental Studies and American Ethnic Studies. During my senior year at Wake, I was one of three students selected to work as a research assistant for Dr. Hana Brown, an associate professor of Sociology. Researching such a narrow topic as well as the work done on my thesis, trained my eye to pay attention to tiny details as they end up making the largest difference in the long run.

I attended Campbell University School of Law where I participated in school-wide Moot Court and Client Counseling competitions. I found my passion, as a member of the Negotiation Team competing in American Bar Association regional competitions. The Negotiation Team allowed me to structure creative settlements that would be beneficial to both parties. During law school I learned just how important it is to give all of your energy and attention to the task at hand while being open to growth and improvement. In addition, I interned with U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert B. Jones of United States District Court, Eastern District of North Carolina. I was able to strengthen my research and writing skills.  Interning at a family law office in Raleigh, NC during law school allowed me to explore the career path of family law as a way to help others during such a challenging time. I was reminded of the positive impact I wanted to make, and my first-hand knowledge with how disrupting the consequences of divorce can be to a family made family law the obvious choice as an avenue to help others.

As an associate attorney at Kennedy Law Associates, I look forward to being able to help clients navigate this difficult time in their life. I use my creative settlement skills every day to advocate the best outcome for our clients. In addition, my attention to detail and strong work ethic allows me to provide the best representation for my clients.

In my spare time, I like to spend as much time outside as possible by going for runs, cheering on the Demon Deacons, or just exploring the Charlotte area. When I am home in Wilmington, you can find me walking the family rescue dog at Wrightsville Beach!
