I began my legal journey several years ago, and my path has brought me to Kennedy Law Associates where I hope to bring a positive influence and to contribute the important role family law has on the immediate community. Divorce is difficult at best, and it is the responsibility of a family law attorney to give helpful, practice advice that guides families to a place that is best for both the family and the individual. I grew up in a home with divorced parents, so I have experienced first hand how easy and how difficult this time can be for a family. I was fortunate enough to have parents who put the needs of their children first, yet have experienced what it is like to have a divided family. I hope my experience can help lead others to navigate this divide.

Prior to law school, I lived in Memphis, Tennessee, and attended the University of Memphis where I earned by bachelor's and master's degrees in criminology. In graduate school, I had a heavy focus on how domestic violence is passed along from generation to generation when witnessed by children in the home. While at the University of Memphis, I was an active member of Alpha Pi Sigma, The National Criminal Justice Honor Society, and worked with the Memphis Police Department's Real Time Crime Center, Crisis Intervention Team, and Operation Blue CRUSH (Crime Reduction Utilizing Statistical History). It was not until my mother passed away that I decided to make the move to the Charlotte area and attend law school.

I graduated Cum Laude from the Charlotte School of Law in 2016, where I was an active member of Phi Delta Phi, the International Legal Honor Society. During law school, I worked as an Honors Intern for the Federal Bureau of Investigation as well as volunteered at various animal shelters in the Charlotte-Metro area, Wills for Heroes, and the Truancy Court program at the Macklenburg County Courthouse. It was not until my last year of law school that I had the opportunity to clerk for Marsha Kennedy at Kennedy Law Associates, where I have since found a home.

I care deeply about family and community, and know healthy, safe, positive, and proactive families are vital to healthy, striving communities. Here at Kennedy Law, I hope to work with clients during the hard times and help them to reclaim their lives, families and in turn, their immediate community.
